Spring (21 March-21 June)

Spring is one of the most popular seasons in Paris. March starts out chilly with daily highs of around 12°C (54°F). By May the weather warms up to a pleasant 20°C (68°F). Nights remain pretty cold throughout the season and don’t be surprised by light showers. Afternoon rain showers are more frequent in the later spring months (especially May). Spring is also one of the two rainiest seasons in Paris, with about 12 days/month of rainy weather.

Summer (21 June-21 September)

Summer is the height of the tourist season in Paris, and it is accompanied by matching high temperatures. Expect daily highs of at least 25°C (83°F), accompanied by brisk nights of around 13°C (55°F). While these temperatures may not seem very high to some, keep in mind that humidity can make Paris feel warmer. Summer is the least rainy of the seasons in Paris, but not by much. You can still expect a couple of rainy days per week, but the rest of the time will be nice and warm.

Autumn (21 September-21 December)

Autumn brings magical colour and fewer crowds to the city of Paris. Some days, especially in September, will still be fairly warm. It’s a wet season and temperatures cool down quite a bit beginning in October, but it’s not yet too cold to enjoy spending time outdoors. Be prepared for the occasional chilly rain shower and a bit of wind. Daily highs range anywhere from 8°C (46°F) to 17°C (62°F).

Despite shorter days and decidedly wetter weather, the winter seasons in Paris can truly be a magical experience. Enhanced by the occasional dusting of snow, the French capital sparkles under the glow of festive holiday lights. Expect daily highs of 8°C (46°F) and nighttime temperatures near freezing. Winter is very wet in Paris, tied with spring for the rainiest seasons.
