In fact, with over 24 craft beer and cider makers, it is Canada’s largest rural craft beer and cider region! Bay of Quinte brewers are known for their incredible sense of community and are especially unique for their use of locally sourced ingredients.

Hours: Daily from 11 am – 7 pm

MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company is located on a bicentennial family farm in the Bay of Quinte area. Housed in renovated century-old barns, the brewery has a great deal of character and historic charm.  Growing their own hops, wheat, and barley on the farm, MacKinnon Brothers beer is truly one-of-a-kind. They are best known for their delicious beer, friendly staff and generous samples.

Napanee Beer Co.

Hours: Tuesday – Friday from 1 pm – 6 pm and Saturday from 12 pm – 6:00 pm

2017 winner of Ontario’s coveted “New Brewery of the Year” award, the Napanee Beer Co. is one of the unmissable breweries in the Bay of Quinte. They have very knowledgeable staff who offer guided tours as well as free samples.

Church-Key Brewing

Hours: Daily from 10 am – dusk

Church-Key Brewing is housed in an 1878 Methodist Church on the outskirts of the Bay of Quinte not far from Campbellford, Ontario. Founded in 2000, it was the first microbrewery in Northumberland County to produce a variety of award-winning hand-crafted ales. Church-Key Brewing offers guided tours to teach you about the brewing process and provides samples of their flagship ales in the tasting room. There is also a gift shop on site selling an array of Church-Key clothing, glassware and ales.

Wild Card Brewing Co.

If you’re looking for a non-traditional brewery in the Bay of Quinte, Wild Card is the one to visit.  Their eclectic and flavourful beers are made in small batches and they are the place to go for old-school board games and locally made popcorn.

Parsons Brewing Company has become increasingly popular since it opened back in 2016. Located in beautiful Prince Edward County, this family-owned and operated farm is not only a brewery but also a restaurant and a store. Complete with a natural outdoor playground, Parsons Brewing Company serves authentic Mexican & Southern comfort cuisine in their beer garden which welcomes the whole family.

Strange Brewing Company

Strange Brewing Co. opened their tasting room and retail store in 2016 and has since become one of the most talked-about small-batch breweries in the Bay of Quinte. Offering exceptional brews and quite possibly the best hospitality in Prince Edward County, Strange Brewing Co. is the place to go for an intimate brewery experience.

Midtown Brewing Company

Hours: Sunday – Thursday from 9 am – 10 pm and Friday – Saturday from 9 am – 11 pm

The Midtown Brewing Company is located in Wellington, Ontario and features a taproom, restaurant and retail store. With an outdoor patio in summertime and a welcoming atmosphere, it is one of the best Bay of Quinte breweries for families with children. Aside from their flavourful beers, the Midtown Brewing Company is best known for their delicious french fries topped with garlic and Parmesan cheese.
