As the first official “estate winery” in Prince Edward County, the County Cider Company specializes in producing hard cider. With more than 12 varieties of apple trees grown among 40 acres of orchards, the County Cider Company produces an impressive 350,000 litres of cider each year.
The outdoor patio restaurant at the County Cider Company is perfectly located overlooking Prince Edward Bay. Their menu features award-winning ciders, and delicious main dishes including lamb sliders, homemade burgers and authentic pizzas. I particularly enjoyed watching the meals being prepared in the open kitchen with a wood-fired oven and the live music on the patio every Tuesday during the summer.

Terracello Winery and restaurant is ideally located at the heart of Prince Edward County between Picton and Wellington. Here, a rustic patio famous for serving authentic wood-fired Napoletana pizza along with carefully crafted wines is hidden amongst the vineyards. Prepared in small batches with ingredients imported from Italy, the pizzas are prepared onsite in two wood-fired ovens. Recently, the former wine cellar at Closson Chase Vineyards was restored and transformed into a restaurant called The Swinery Wine Bar & Artisanal Sandwiches.
