County Cider Company

As the first official “estate winery” in Prince Edward County, the County Cider Company specializes in producing hard cider. With more than 12 varieties of apple trees grown among 40 acres of orchards, the County Cider Company produces an impressive 350,000 litres of cider each year.

The outdoor patio restaurant at the County Cider Company is perfectly located overlooking Prince Edward Bay. Their menu features award-winning ciders, and delicious main dishes including lamb sliders, homemade burgers and authentic pizzas. I particularly enjoyed watching the meals being prepared in the open kitchen with a wood-fired oven and the live music on the patio every Tuesday during the summer.

Huff Estates Winery

With state of the art facilities, a modern tasting gallery and a restaurant, Huff Estates Winery is one of the most visited wineries in Prince Edward County. Each year beginning the May long weekend until Thanksgiving, Huff Estates restaurant serves lunch in its impressive dining room on the outdoor patio overlooking the vineyards. Specializing in authentic Italian wood-fired pizzas, the restaurant pairs its award-winning wines along with locally sourced products.  Huff Estates Winery restaurant also features live musical performances during the summertime.

One of the newest wineries in the region, Three Dog Winery covers 100 acres at one of the highest points in Prince Edward County. On weekends during the summer months, Three Dog Winery serves delicious wood-fired pizzas along with perfectly paired wines and hosts live music on the patio.

The beautiful Gazebo Restaurant at the Waupoos Estates Winery sits amidst the vineyards in the County overlooking Prince Edward Bay.  Open for lunch, dinner, and special events, this Prince Edward County winery restaurant focuses on farm to table cuisine. Poultry, game birds, lamb, goats, pigs and rabbit are raised on the estate’s operational farm and 100+ acres of vegetable and herb gardens provide the ingredients for each meal. Terracello Winery

Terracello Winery and restaurant is ideally located at the heart of Prince Edward County between Picton and Wellington. Here, a rustic patio famous for serving authentic wood-fired Napoletana pizza along with carefully crafted wines is hidden amongst the vineyards. Prepared in small batches with ingredients imported from Italy, the pizzas are prepared onsite in two wood-fired ovens. These ovens close at several times throughout the year, therefore, it’s advisable to contact the winery to ensure they are operational during your visit.

Closson Chase Vineyards – The Swinery Wine Bar & Artisanal Sandwiches

The fabulous Closson Chase Vineyards has been a well-known fixture in the Prince Edward County winemaking community since 1998.  Set in an old dairy barn, this European style vineyard produces wines from the highest quality Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Gris grapes.  

Recently, the former wine cellar at Closson Chase Vineyards was restored and transformed into a restaurant called The Swinery Wine Bar & Artisanal Sandwiches. Serving the finest Prince Edward County ingredients, The Swinery restaurant prepares an assortment of meat and cheese sandwiches which are best paired with a glass of wine from the winery.
